Back from my holidays (Image heavy)

Featured Replies

I've just come back from a week in Austria (Filzmoos), doing a bit of cross country skiing ( I had to change from downhill when my right knee started complaining.) We had an excellent week, with slightly too much snow -about 2m in all! This rendered the high level trails unusable due to level 5 avalanche warnings, so we had to stick to the lower ones.

Anyway, the trusty Canon S70 was with me, as the 400D is really a bit bulky to cart around, and here's a few piccies:

lush photos! I'd love to go there to experience proper snow like that. I have one question though. Do the locals ever get bored of throwing snowballs?

The local kids still seemed game for a snowball fight at any time, but I think the adults were getting fed up with moving the stuff around after a week of it.

Even the fire engine had a snow plough fitted to it!

Nice photos.

I'd love to visit that place, looks fantastic. Lovely scenery.

Might get a part time job clearing the roofs of snow:eek: Health & Safety, whats that then?

It's scary. They don't wear any safety harness, and just have someone below warning pedestrians and traffic!

That's just so wrong to be sunbathing in the snow

Nice pics

Yes but if they fall off it's not a problem. They land safely in a big cushion of snow:D
