I have a code for an additional 'up to 10%' but I think it is telephone only. Freedom Members can PM me if they would like it.

Does anyone have one of these? I'm particularly interested as to whether there's the option on these machines to switch to a 1024x768 resolution (obviously with a scrolling viewport)?

Oh, and Stu, any chance of a PM? :)

I have a Mini 9 (got it on a £99 misprice just before christmas ) and love it. Runs OSX perfectly and have modded it a few times: Awooga!!! Modding the Dell Mini 9 and Awooga!!! Modding the Dell Mini 9 - Part 2

Have upgraded the memory to 2GB, and the SSD to a 32GB RunCore.

I am not familiar with any other OS but OSX on the Mini, but if you wander over to MyDellMini • Forum you'll find a wealth of info.

Personally I'd go for the cheapest and change the SSD/Memory myself rather than paying Dell for the privilege ;)

The Dell site says upto 1gb ram and 16gb HD, obvioussly you have more in yours Quinten, is that just a case of swapping the OEM stuff or does it involve more modding to run at the spec you have it at?

Bought one - 8GB SSD :D

Cheers for the heads-up, Colin!

You can swap the memory quite easily (as long as you use a compatible SODIMM), but 2Gb is the maximum that will be recognised. The HD is an SSD (solid state disk) and due to it's form factor there are only a few options for that, the most recommended one being the Runcore SSD's. They go up to 64Gb I believe.

For neither upgrade you require anything other than unscrew back panel, replace part and put the back panel on again ;)

Nice deal. Does the Mini9 accepted SDHC cards?

Steve

Anyone still wanting the Acer One I know ASDA still have it for £150 in some stores.
