Stereo Problems

Featured Replies

I have a problem with my CD on my VRS 2.0 Octavia. The cd plays fine on the single slot from the dash board but when I use the loader from the boot, the sound is terrible. Does the boot loader come through a different speaker ? It crackles, like the speaker has broken and the vocals from the CD sound different and sometimes very faint. Can anyone help out, Chris, Exeter

Thread moved from for sale

Welcome to Briskoda. :) As you have just purchased the car from Savilles, I suggest that you speak to them about the problem.

Same speakers, the CD changer plugs into the back of the HU.

It seems that the problem is in the connection between CD loader and headunit: let them check it.

HTH,

Has someone changed the headunit in the past.

How old is the car, and what headunit is fitted.

The stream mp3 has a different pin configuration on the rear of the headunit compared to the original stream, the ground pin for the CD changer moved along with several others.

:iagree: Had exactly the same thing with mine. Wrong head-unit for CD changer. If you have a jumbo box with AUX in socket, I bet that doesn't work either - worth checking before you visit the dealer.

Just a thought - you're not using an MP3 disc in the changer are you? Although the single slot will play MP3s, I don't think that the multi changer will........
