Just booked in my vRS for its first service at a Skoda service centre.

He quoted me

Are these prices over the odds? Can I go to a non-Skoda service centre without voiding the warranty? Will it be cheaper?

It sounds about right for dealer servicing.

Yes, you can go to any VAT-registered service centre and keep your warranty provided they use genuine parts.

Whether it will be cheaper depends largely on the particular service centre you try...

I suspect it's the Random Service Price quoter they have. Don't think I've ever known any two people be charged the same amount!

I Think Horners Bury give you a discount if you have got the car from them... That is what they said when I got mine... another 4500 miles and I will find out...

My first service was

I paid 86 quid from DM Keith in Leeds. Didn't buy the car from them. Think you need to shop around.
