Hi all,

Having problems with my 52 plate 110 tdi 57,000 miles.When you start up and drive off i am hearing a shh shh shh sound and as if the brakes are grabbing momentarilly for the time the noise occurs then ok for the trip to work 3 miles,same again on return home.Been to garage and replaced one of the turbo control valves this hasn't solved.Unplugged the air mass meter and problem went so replaced with new one and the problem came back straight away only worse.Diagnostic machine shows an air flow problem hense the replacement of the MAF.Any ideas guys getting a bit down as it's a mint motor and want to get it sorted----Turbo maybe or the other turbo control valve or something else you guys know about.

Your advise is much appreciated.

How about one of the intercooler/air/vacum pipes split?

These have all been checked and replaced when found to be suspect.Thanks for that though.

had it scanned for fault codes?

It has but can't tell you at the moment will find out what it is though.

It isn't sounding at all tappetty when it's down on power?
