Sounds like a leak in the intake system, what's it idling like?

Have a prod around the pipework and listen carefully for the engine note changing, sucking or hissing noises.

its idiling ok and running ok had a look around and the breather pipe that comes off the rocker cover is split, could this be the problem?

The Y shaped one per chance? That would do it.

Ian

If that ones gone keep your eye on the one under the manifold as that will go next.

I was in TPS this morning and there was order of both pipes sat on the counter awaiting collection.

So its a common one for sure !!!

That other one under the manifold, is it about 15-20mm, directly behind the dipstick and L shaped going down from the manifold then towards the battery?

I was looking for it a few weeks back but it's such a birds nest down there that im not certain if I'm looking at the right one

Ian

I'm on about this one 07032009703.jpg

This is the one which goes regular causing a 17705 code.

See the dirty great big split about two thirds down it

That picture tells me I was looking at the wrong one. Cheers Fatty.

Doh I need to clean my desk, theres a mug stain on there:O:O

There's more than one....LOL

If I'm honest the stains are the tip of a very large iceberg
