Felicia Fun locks

Featured Replies

the two door locks are the same, but the ignition is different, how hard/exspencive would it be to make all 3 locks the same?? and is it worth the haslte?

also, should there be central locking on the car? at present i need to open my door and the passanger door seperate and same with the moving bulkhead ****ie seat thing

also should the rear tail gate be lockable

many thanks

I woildnt go to the expense of changing them. If you have a truckman top on it, itshould be lockable, if not no, Central locking was an option. No keys needed for the bulkhead

Get the chassis number and your V5, then go to a good Skoda dealer, and tell them you want a new ignition lock barrel for Fun, with registration and chassis number.

i thought it wouldnt be worth the haslte, may pop into a skoda deeler on fiday tho for a cost out of interest

With that info, a dealership should be able to source a lock barrel to match the doors; no-one else should (at least in principle).

thats providing its the door locks that have been changed from original and not the steering / ignition lock tho??

Well yes, but why would you change both door locks and not the ignition? Doing it the other way around is a not uncommon result of fixing a smashed steering lock following a (usually unsuccessful) attempt at TWOCing.

As i said in my previous post, waste of time and money, Dealers want a big wedge to code a new key for the ignition

I have different keys for my ignition and locks as after having the car for about a week the ignition barrel collapsed and wouldn't operate. I got took back to the dealers and they offered to replace the lock with a new one and if I wanted one keyed the same it would have taken up to three weeks, time I didn't have due to work.

Was just thinking about getting it keyed the same but recently as it is annoying that I have one key for my doors and one for my ignition.

Get some door locks from a scrapyard, take them to bits to get the tumblers and hopefully you'll have the correct number and combination of tumblers to rebuild your door locks to match the ignition key.
