Just had some good news from my scrappy

Featured Replies

I can get the full black leather interior from an 07 elegance estate, and any other bits I need for £400:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::):):):P:cool:

Picking it up on Thursday

bargin

Thats a good price.

I've seen them go for £450+ on Ebay in the past

I need the following parts if you can get hold of them:

- Centre console (with or without armrest doesn't really matter)

- Rear grab handles with screws (both sides)

- B pillar covers (top and bottom with fixings)

- Rear wiper from hatchback

- Driver's door rubber door seal

There don't seem to be many new shape Octavias in my local scrapyards...

nice one

Can you please pass on your Scrappy's details. I need most of the load area trim and I have not been able to locate any locally.

Further thought!! If you can have all of the internal trim for a single price: collect the bits that I need and reduce the cost of your leather seats! Also does the donor vehicle have a multi function steering wheel and or Maxidot because I would love to get my hands on these as well.

cars dismantled by skospares.com for all your skospares

There is also this breakers

Thank you for that. I have spoken to the scrappy and things all seem to be quite complicated with someone from Ireland apparently owning part of the vehicle, however the situation is not completely without hope since further conversations can be had next week. Since you are going to pick up the seats in person, can you please check out the load area trim and roller cover and let me know what their condition is. I live about 500 miles from Scotland and am not keen on popping up just to have a look on the off chance that it is all good! It would also be useful to know whether it has a multifunction steering wheel and Maxidot.

The car does not look damaged even the panels look ok, I wonder if the engine has gone??

The interior is fully intact as is the rest of the car from what I can see

I emailed my list of parts to these guys ages ago and they never got back to me.... same with most ebay sellers. I'm really struggling to find the above parts at local scrappies...

I know exactly what you mean. I have had little or no response from any of the part finder services either. Often the best result is a direct phone call when Mr Scrappy can smell the lure of cash without having to do something complcated like look at e-mails.
