Rear windscreen washer repair

Featured Replies

Hello

Fabia comfort 2003 model.

My rear windscreen washer is not working for a few weeks now. I got a quote of £ 40 from the skoda dealer which I am trying to save by DIY hence need some guidance as to how I can fix this.

I can hear the pump working and see the liquid falling below the Washer container when I try the rear wiper but the liquid does not spray on the windscreen.

Please can someone help

Remove passenger side wheel and wheel arch liner at front. This gives access to the hose that will have popped off the outlet pipe.

can you provide some more details or..maybe show on a picture what things need to be removed?

Or Leave it until your next service, mine pops off at least once between services and they just fix it when i take it for my 10,000 mile service, doesn't cost as much then.

they quoted me 40 quid to fix this...If this is a problem with the pipe then I better DIY...

Hence some more guidance is highly appreciated to fix this.

spray it and look under the car.

Probs near the near side wheel or coming out the boot.

Mine popped of because the nozzle was blocked so you might just have to take that off.

If you use the search there is a really good guide on here somewhere.

Seems the most common place they pop off is at the bulkhead before the pipe enters the cabin, simply clip it back together.

It's on the bulkhead behind and below the air inlet pipe on my vrs, indicated by the arrows. As someone said, have someone squirt them while you look, it's probably there

Reed the sticky above. In there is a link to a post that gives 4 common places it will fail. one of the most common ones is, as above, on the bulkhead which you can fix yourself, this is were mine came off last.
