Anyone Got A New Superb-What Do You Think?

Featured Replies

Called in to my local Skoda dealer just to check up on how much second hand Fabia vRS’s are.

Anyhow I asked the rep and he told me the last one was outside and sold.

Anyhow now to the question-I never accepted the invite on the Superb launch night. So Sunday was the first time I seen a Superb up close and I fell in love with it.

To me the inside looked as good as any Merc. BMW (My opinion)

Any other Briskodians got a new Superb-if so what do you think?

Not intending to get rid of my beloved Fabia vRS. But like to hear comments on the above?

Cheers guys:)

Just wait till you drive one. I've only had mine a week and i'm absolutely loving it. The 170CR is so quiet that a lot of my friends think its a petrol.

The only negatives I have had is from the badge merchants who say, if you removed the badge it would be brilliant, people have been amazed at the extras and build quality, its also ot quite a bit of positive press.

You might find it weird going from a Fabia to a Superb though,as its significantly longer. I found the move from a Passat strange especially when you park it and see the end sticking out of the parking space.

If you can afford it, get the Elegance spec.

All said and done its a great vehicle and i'm still learning, but its personal choice.

I have had mine nine weeks got 10000 on it now (and no it's not a taxi) and it is awesome a new BMW owner recently admitted when he found out what came as standard on mine and the quality of the car for less than his "put your own stereo and satnav" model he realised he had wasted 26 grand on an over priced lump.

It is comfortable, quiet, refined, relaxed and has a great presence on the road.

As for the badge it has history and like many modern manufacturers the badge has not had to be amended to cope with fads or fashion.

you would not be dissapointed with the Superb Elegance 170 CR it is a classic.

Had my 170CR SE man. since the start of the month. Love it to bits, BMW 1 series went this morning - been standing on drive since the superb arrived. Awesome value for money, great drive for such a large FWD car and the pulls nicely when asked. Chuffed with it.

I expected to be pleased, having had four trouble-free years from an Octavia Elegance, but I wasn't expecting the permanent grin! My wife was a little concerned about the size to begin with, but she was chucking it around like a veteran after a couple of days. No-one we've shown or carried in it can believe the size of the interior, especially the rear seats, coupled with the huge boot. It's a winner all round for us. :)

All positive...thanks guys

I have a Superb Elegance 170 CRD, and it is superb i love it. Having worked for BMW for 32 years it is a match for any top 3 Series, not including the M3.

I am not from UK - but I just got my Superb this week and it has been great. Gets quieter by the day.

I cannot believe the level of sophistication in this car - almost like a steal - like driving a car costing much more.

Did not like the old Superb old (shape/Interior) so opted for the Octavia, next car Superb SE (140) only 6 weeks to wait now! I love it inside and that is where you spend your time in the car, If it can beat an Audi A6, BMW 7 series & Bentley (autocar review) then how can you complain (except 12 week wait). I always bought Jap cars but the Octavia converted me 3years trouble free and nice drive/value for money (I do not care about badge/prestige).
