Hi & welcome.

Hit the search button, or check out the Mk1 or Mk2 Octavia section for many, many, many answered variations of your question.

And yes, you'll notice it + you'll have to declare it on the insurance. :)

Hiya.

I think one of the Site Sponsors is in Kent, yes and yes.

Welcome :)

Welcome,

Impossible Performance are based in kent, in the Canterbury area.

Welcome to Briskoda

What part of Kent are you from?

Impossible Performance in Canterbury are the dogs danglies. You may want to change a few other things on the car first as their custom remaps are the better option but are only worth it if you've had intake and exhaust mods done already.

have found a company called sanspeed in bexleyheath that will do a stage one? remap for £350 anyone used or heard anything about them???

also a company in essex called amd tecknik for the same price???

Not heard of Sanspeed - try posting the question in the Octy I forum though as more people will see it there.

AMD are pretty good, similar to Revo Technik. I wouldn't be surprised if this Sanspeed are doing AMD maps if the price is the same.

yeah i got amd through the revo website. have never played with cars before but want to get a little more from my standard car, have bought a pipercross induction kit too but dont intend to do anymore to the car..its a 53 plate vrs with 87000 miles on the clock..

Chris, how's the AMD remap been? I was looking at AMD for either a REVO or the AMD remap

not had it done yet am looking to get it done within the next week or so, am trying to get some feedback as which company is a safe bet to use..

Doh! I should have read properly and would have realised you were the OP. I think AMD had a good rep before they were taken over some years ago, and I can't get any feedback about them now. There's a few people with a REVO though. It's a nightmare trying to decide. I've been toying with this for nearly a year :D

i think its going to be like using any other car place you hear good and bad things about them all so think i'll just take the plunge and go for the amd at essex...they offer a full 30 day money back guarantee if your not happy so i dont really have anything to lose...otherwise i could spend weeks looking and still be no better off...:)

had the remap done today at amd essex, it seems my car was 175bhp as standard so a bit down and the remap has pushed this up to 195bhp but the torque has risen from 180lb sq foot to 224lb so am pleased with that...have been told i should now use a higher fuel octane as this will help no end and the car will run betterstill when the ecu has settled which should be in a couple of days...so so far am a bit dissapointed to be under the 200bhp mark but please with the torque rise:)

Sounds good, one of our members found their car was running 176bhp on the rollers at Impossible, they suggested a good service and using super unleaded might help

ChrisW, if you want "over 200brake", just add 10 to AMD's figures and claim those came from Jabba's dyno! ;)

  • 2 weeks later...

Hey chrisw197, how's the AmD remap going now? I'm booking something in for next week as SWMBO's away so I can sneak out and make the car better :D AmD are closest to me so they're coming out top at the moment but there's a couple of others. Let us know mate
