Problems with engine oil creaming at filler

Featured Replies

How do one an all,

I have a 2006 Octavia VRS and have had on going problems with the engine oil creaming at the filler. The dealer tells me that its a characteristic with the engine!

I have checked that I am not loosing water and have had the breather pipes checked before, but I am told everything is okay!

Has anyone had similar problems?

Welcome. What sort of mileage do you do?

there have been a few threads on here (use search at top) often its just condensation that causes it.

if you do few miles per journey then its perfectly normal and a characteristic of all engines.

Hiya.

As others, it's possibly perfectly normal.

If you do mostly journeys that get the engine fully hot, and you're still concerned, post in the relevant forum (Octy 1 or 2), and give more details of your usage pattern.
