Auto Glym Glass Polish...

Have you tried claying the glass?

autoglym glass polish the cream stuff, wipe it on, leave to go dry and white, then wipe off.

Clay the glass and then I recommend some Megs Glass Cleaner but this must be used with some proper Glass Cleaning Cloths............

The megs spray glass cleaner with some proper glass microfibres is excellent.

For external dirt either clay, wash and polish with the above or give it a clean with some AG intensive glass cleaner.

The AG stuff is good for general glass cleaning, but for the road film type grime that seems to embed itself in the front screen you need something a little more harsh imo.

Is the halford stuff a fair bit stronger then as I've not tried the halfords one myself.

Yep sure is imo, I use the AG stuff mostly, but recently I hada problem with some ming on the screen which it wouldn't shift, when the wipers wiped they left what looked like a stain of some sort right in my line of vision, one go of the halfords stuff and it was gone. It says on the container that it has cutting compound in it. Seems to do the trick:thumbup::thumbup:

Fair enough, always thought the powdery AG was pretty good, but I might have to give the halfords own version a go and see if it works as my screen is definitely not in a clean way right now.

The AG stuff is the best if your just cleaning normally, I find watery liquid stuff a nightmare for streaking and leaving behind smears whichs how up in direct sunlight or a night

If you use it, give it a good polish on so it cuts into the crap, then leave it too haze over then, give it equally good buff off. Then admire how clean your screen is.

Too save you a googling

I use AG Glass polish and Fast Glass and it works well. I have read on here that Vinigar and newspaper works, but not tried it myself.

What's the best way to clean the Inside of windscreens and windows?

For heavy deposits an abrasive metal polish such as NXT and Autosol and I have even heard of brasso wadding  after giving it a quick clay can work wonders and remove slight surface imperfections too.

I use the AG stuff for the inside:thumbup::thumbup:

I use the megs stuff for inside and the powdery based cleaners on the outside.

Have to say I love the fact that halfords will "fit" your glass cleaner for only 99p according to the website ;)
