Octavia vRS floor mats - now obsolete?

Featured Replies

Went to my dealer the other week to try and order a new set of vRS mats to be told that they are no longer available

Are they telling the truth as the guy on the parts desk is a complete :thumbdwn:

Thanks, that solves part of the problem

Shame they don't seem to do a front passenger side one too.

I know you wouldnt have thought they would discontinue them. Maybe worth contacting one of the skoda affiliates on here if your not sure your local dealer playing ball.

carparts have to be available at dealers etc until the 10th birthday of the final production:thumbup: dealers a

but been a accessory this might not apply

Just puchased set for my mk 1 vrs from Freeborn Skoda here in Southampton with no problem.

Not sure if full set is obsolete. Drivers mat can be had from here:

Skoda UK Octavia >06 VRS Drivers Side Front Carpet Mat - 1U2864496CJVM

if that helps.

Just to update, i ordered a drivers and passenger side mat from the Skoda shop.

They only list the drivers one on the website, but if you ask they can supply the others too

The cost for both delivered was approx £52.

I had the very same problem, when i first got my vrs a year ago i needed some new mats but were told by my local skoda "we dont do vrs mats anymore" so i just got the standard ones which were a good price at only £20ish per set but i have gone through 3 sets so far as they keep coming un stiched around the plastic circle which fixes the mat to the floor, so might be cheap but not very good in my opinion. just noticed drivers mat going again so 4th set will be on there way very soon and the worse thing is i hardly use the car.

I have the standard Octy mats in my car (via Mark) and they have been in for a couple of years and seen a good portion of the cars 165k are not not falling apart in any shape or form....

You should try Bickerton in Sheffield (main dealer). Although I live in London and only 5 miles from my local dealer, I find it more convenient to ring or email Bickerton, they then ring me back I order what I need and they post it to me. It's easier than taking time off work and trying to park near my local dealer (who never respond to emails and don't do postal deliveries)

My local dealer (Westover Skoda) has not even grasped the concept of returning phone calls yet!

Does anybody chuck rubber mats in over the winter? If so, which ones, where, how much etc??

My carpet mats are a little worn, but are coping ok and with winter coming on, I could probably preserve them a little longer by now abusing them in the cold/wet/mingingness that is winter.
