Green Fascia Head Unit

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My JVC aftermarket unit is on it's last legs. I'm looking for a simple unit, pref alpine or pioneer, that can play CD-R/RW MP3 discs and definately must have a green screen?? (Under £150)

Any ideas or links? I've searched and halfords and they've got nudda. Can anyone recommend a good online site for head units?

dvbcaraudio.co.uk

and the car audio centre (type it into search engine )

bluespot (search google for address) for blaupunkt stuff seems to be ok. i kno some of the Blaupunkt units u can change the colour of the screens to match ur dash lights. ive got a blaupunkt DAB unit but the screen is white letters on black background with red key illumination.

hope this helps.

most of the alpine ones can be changed to green screen. Try car audio 66

www.caraudiosecurity.com has quite a few. I did a few google searches just to find what was out there, and then did a search on specific models to make sure they had the specific functions I was after and to see where I could get it the cheapest. Turned out Amazon had the best price for the model I was after, and they have a pretty decent selection on there as well so might be worth a look.

I bought this model:

Pioneer DEH-5000UB - CD Tuner With USB-in - Aux-in And: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

(which I'm sure was less than £100 at the time, and came direct from Amazon and not from one of their sellers, but I guess they've since sold out of them). Probably something better out there now for a similar price. Good luck with your search, should be plenty with green LEDs or a multi-colour option.

I bought this recently: The Bass Bin | CLARION DUZ388RMP HEADUNIT but not thar price - they can be bought for £150 ish.

It has a customisable display so you can match your lights exactly. Plus it was a USB connector for a pen or use your iPod lead.

It's a nice unit but you may need an other cage for it as it's designed to be screwed into the dash. You can buy universal double din cages.

the amps in sony stereos aren't the best...
