Petrol 1.4 TSI engine??

Featured Replies

The 1.2TSi engine will find it's way into the Fabia soon after the Yeti launch no doubt. The 1.4TSi I'm sure will be available in 122bhp version if not the same time very soon after.

The 1.6CR engine will be around very soon, for some reason I thought production of this engine in an Octavia was going to be in a May or June but haven't heard anything for a while.

do you know when we'll see the CR 2.0 140 in the Octavia?

Thanks

Tom- I've had some time off helping my parents move, they are off to Dubai and you wouldn't believe how much junk they have collected over the years. Plus the paperwork required to take their pets out of the country! Back now though!

I don't know when the 2.0CR 140bhp engine will get into the Octavia or the Superb. Maybe they are waiting to bring out the Scout and vRS facelifts before they launch CR accross the entire range, they aren't making any effort to cut back PD production on either Octavia or Scout though.

Am I right in thinking the vS facelift is June?

Ross will one of these fit in Lissy? i.e. Will YOU put one in Lissy pretty please.

Hi furby 2 owners ! Drove a 2 while my baby was in the dealers last year, didnt corner very well tho tee hee

The 1.4TSI is currently in use in the new Octavia replacing the 1.6FSI.

I did read about the 1.2TSI briefly. Renault also have a similar engine the TCE in their current Clio don't they?

yeah they do, its pants on the motorway... i really like the 1.4 in my car. wanting abit more power though!! its a really light engine but fuel economy is averaging about 37mpg after 15000. would like to know how hard it is to bolt on the charger from the golf/a3 units

thanks James

Production starts end of May so I imagine the first ones to appear in the UK will be towards the end of June maybe early July.

I have not got a single photo though yet, I can't imagine it will look too different.

I hope it isn't too different as I ordered a vRS TFSi DSG Estate with everything a couple of weeks ago!

Thats a lot of letters!!! just 3 short of OTT :rofl::rofl:

I've just had a look at a picture of the 1.2Tsi engine fitted in the Polo (Autocar) and it looks like VAG have gone back to sparkplugs fitted in an exposed position at the front of the engine (just over exhaust) fed with plug leads from a 4 output coilpak. No engine cover.

To me that is a tremendous stepback. Now 1990's ignition system exposed to rain and muck, endless problems when the car's more than 3 years old........

In fact the whole engine layout looks a mess.

The 1.4TSi looked a lot neater.
