Do a turbo back system but make the front and rear parts the same fitment as standard?

Might open up a market for those only wanting a de-cat and not wanting to change the whole exhaust, or vice versa :)

I called them on Monday - they are awaiting information from jetex in Sweden about when they are going to put a prototype together. As soon as they have an asnwer they will give me an email with the tailpipe style and the price

Update:-

Spoke to Neil at Jetex today. Looks like the first prototype is on its way as we speak from Jetex factory over in Sweden! As yet the tailpipe design is unconfirmed. Just have to see what they have once it arrives. Prices are still yet to be confirmed, but about £250-£270 seem like a possibility. Once the unit is on my car i'll take some pictures and do a sound clip and put it up on youtube.

1st of the systems should arrive with me tomorrow!

They have made it up out of of a couple of sections. the tailpipe is a squashed oval - very similar to the std tailpipe. Its only got the backbox - no other silencers. Should be interesting to see/ hear it on! Will keep you all upto date!

Look forward to seeing it and hearing it too!!! :)

TTIUWP of the exhaust on or off the car! Please:)

TTIUWP = This thread is useless without pics.

System arrived this afternoon! Hoping to get it on the car ASAP - but its looking like it will be Monday, before I can get anything sorted!

We can only assume from your silence, the system is yet to be fitted.. ;)

Looking forward to an update though.............

Ok the system is on - as of first thing on Monday morning - only took 25 minutes to fit inc removal of the old system!!!

The system went together very easily, fitting was straightforward with no hickups.

The tailpipe is just a slightky larger version of the std one, its a modular system at the moment - not sure if thats going to stay or not - but it means if you want a different tailpipe you can choose it.

The system is pretty quiet and only really starts to sound different after about 3500rpm. What I will say though is the turbo definately feels to spin up a bit quicker.

I have also spoken to Jetex with reguards the price for them. The RRP is going to be £279.50 inc VAT and delivery. But we are going to try and get a group buy together for the first 5 - they can do a special price of £250 inc VAT and delivery.

Anyone interested? Put your name below - I need a solid 5 orders to make the group buy go ahead

Hmm.. It looks good, but doesn't look as tidy as a Blueflame. Not too keen on the Halfrauds style clamped on tail trim either, but the oval trim does look good nonetheless. For the price, you can also get the BF for around £250 + delivery on top of that.

the tailpipe style isnt 100% confirmed as the clamp on style yet - i'll need to find out.

Welds are tidy and system is spot on - i've seen a few shoddy Blueflame systems on different cars - this is in another league!

Plus remember this is a "Working Protoype" not the finished product!

Unit 18 are doing full system stainless steel Scorpion exhausts fully fitted for £255 incl. VAT for a vRS, so the Jetex mild steel system looks pretty pricey compared to that.

Doesnt look anywhere near the quality of the Milltek/blueflame/scorpion systems that we get in at work, plus its painted mild steel and more expensive????

Cat back or turbo back?
