Hi All

just about to take delivery of an 08 2.0 L&K Octavia Estate. this will be the second one I've had this month. (long story)

Will be sad to see my Saab 9-3 Linear Sport TiD go but I need the boot space.

Welcome :)

Excellent choice of car! ;)

Welcome aboard! :)

I hope so.My first L&K (a 57 plate) lasted 36 hours before it broke down with a major dash malfunction. it was towed to a garage and hooked up to the diagnostic computer. which promptly spat out 15 pages of error codes. Having rejected the car, I set about searching for another one, and will be collecting it on Friday... fingers crossed.

Thanks. I'm hoping I just got unlucky. I wasn't all that impressed with the dealer I bought it from when i finally got the car back to them on the thursday. (I broke down 200 miles away) they came across as indifferent and couldn't look at the car until the following week. As I'd just taken delivery of it 3 days before I was not at all impressed.

Everyone I've spoken to has reassured me that I must have been really unlucky, which is good. I didn't really like it in blue anyway ;) roll on Black Magic :D

Thanks everybody :)

Hiya.

I know 15 pages of error codes sounds like a lot, but when one sensor failure can throw 5 codes, and each code uses 6 lines to print, 1 component failure that causes the central ECU to diagnose that everything on the dash has failed just conceivably might throw a tree!
