Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum.

Fantastic forum for us skoda drivers.

Anyway i own a 03 superb 1.9 tdi 130.

For the last month or so, only the drivers door opens when i press the remote.

plus the rear interior lights and rear door lights do not work either.

Anyone??????????????

All answers will be highly appreciated.

sounds like the option to only open drivers door has either been activated accidently or by a dealer, if you press the remote twice does it open all doors? with regard to lights, you have checked the fuse havent you?

As roto syas it sounds like the all too familiar water ingress problem Check your N/S front carpet for damp/water. Actually check all the carpet for water issues. If this is the case then you have the dreaded Pollen Filter problem. Check on the site and do a search for water ingress or pollen filter repair and you will get all the info you need. This has been posted many many many times.

This is the link to the pollen filter housing repair.

yes all the doors used to open with a second click on the remote.

but about a month ago the battery was flat for a few dats, that's when the problem began.

the other 3 doors only open by pushing the door switch on the drivers door.

no i have not checked the fuses, sounds like a good idea.

cheers

Disconnect the battery. Leave for a few minute. Reconnect.

I'd wager it's nothing to do with water ingress but a computer related thing that used to be called logic lockout.

Disconnecting the battery reboots the system.

Make sure before disconnecting the battery you have the radio code as it will need to be re-entered.

Is there actually a set procedure for disconnecting/reconnecting the battery at all? I'm thinking of doing the plenum clean out job one of these spring weekends and I guess the battery needs to be lifted out? Thanks.

If you've not done the plenum clean out recently, just disconnect the battery & remove, and do it while you're there.

There's nothing on a Superb that can't be recoded easily, but if you're worried use the old slave battery via the rear aux socket trick.

EDIT: BUT INSULATE THE... oh, never mind :)
