antifreeze level

Featured Replies

I have a roomster scout 1.9. I have noticed a small drop in antifreeze level a couple of times. Not much - only requires 20cc or so to top up. No leaks apparent and top properly screwed on until click heard. Is this normal or must there be a small leak somewhere. Mileage 8000.

thanks

When you say 'drop', how are you measuring it? Do you fill to the Max line, or the seam round the 'equator' of the tank? It could just be the coolant expanding and contracting with the weather (which is one reason why you have a Max and Min rather than a 'fill to this line, no more, no less' line! )

Could be air temp. I will keep a close eye on it in the next few days which are due to be warm.
