Skoda Badge Concept (ish)

Featured Replies

Someone asked in a thread somewhere if anyone could make a Skoda logo like the one on the concept Joyster. So here is my attempt. I have the Illustrator file if anyone wants a shot.

Cool!

That may have been me! lol

Looks good and thanks for taking the time to do this.

Phil

I really like that. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Who's getting the group buy sorted for replacement grille & rear badges. ;)

Cheers

Dave.

I know it's a bit rough. But I'll try to tidy it up unless there is anyone out there that's good with vectors.

Newer slightly tweaked version.

Now if someone could make these into domed badges for the car I would have a set.

I concur

There are places like this who seem to offer that sort of service, but I have no idea what it costs.

I was just looking at some of the sites. I think the price might scare me.

i could get a place that makes name badges for my work to do up a sample and possibly arrange a group buy.

Would be plastic with a clear acrylic dome not sure about fixing though or durability or weather-proof-ness but he'd sure as shell do me a sample

let me know a size and i'll get him to sort summin out

That would be good. The size is the size of a Skoda badge (don't have tape measure to hand). I can provide the image in whatever format your man needs.

cool bout

that big then

i'll stick a measure over mine wen i go out later

to be honest i've supplied him eps files, illustrator files, pdfs, and he normally asks for a jpeg!

I'll speak to him tomorrow and see what he says :D

Whoever disigned the Skoda badge is a baw, i dont like it at all.

Nice concept though.

If there is a possible group buy on the horizon, can I suggest the old school favorit badge as an alternative option. Looks wicked on Jonny5ives Fabia! Would definitely go for a set of these.

You'll have a job mate, they're now obsolete (sp) god knows I've tried ordering some new ones since from several dealers

Yeah I know... but if someone can make a proper domed version using the design... job done!

Got ya! I'd buy one for a dollar! :D

What material are they made of?

I used to work as an engraver years back, and to make something like that on a computer rig and then have it manually infilled wouldn't cost that much if you were ordering a few and could provide the artwork as a DXF. You'd probably get away with aluminium with a cellulose colour as long as you lacquered it before fitting, the advantage being that you could colour code the badge to the car. Bit of strong double sided and Robert's yer mother's brother :)

Stainless would be ideal but it's a pig to work with and that'd push the costs up a lot.

For the retro among you:

skoda_logo_retro.gif

That's what I'm talking about! Now who's going to make them???!!

i can't see the image (stupid work filters ) but i have spoken to my contact and he's doing me a sample with clear acrylic dome based on the grey visual ASAP

he also thought it might be possible to do a black version with brushed stainless steel effect for the centre part and if the above pic is a coloured version he can't see that being a problem either

He has said that boot and bonnet badges would be fine and that a smaller verison for alloy wheel centre caps would also be possible

***edit **** home now and the retro version would probably be easier to produce than the concept version and could probably be brushed stainless steel effect rather than grey - unless grey is preffered

Once i have the sample I'll get some pics taken and see who's interested :D

I would also go for a group buy if there the old school ones!

SIP is a symbol of speed and targeted activities. Wings of the progress of freedom, the breadth of supply and disposal of products not only in the world. The opening in the wing indicates a stylized eye, which show the accuracy of production and sensitivity to surroundings. Laurel symbolized strength, cunning, and point victory on the table the experience business. Green color adds more Škoda identities, because the competition does not use too green. In addition, fresh green color indicates the expression attention to new challenges such as environmental protection, recycling of materials and organic production. Circle of course, means unity, world, harmony. Basis logo was created at the beginning of the twenties years of the twentieth century in two very similar versions of the.

I'd definitely be in for a couple of the retro ones in silver and black!

I'm just down the road from you in Stonehouse. :D As and when you have a sample I'd be happy to have the car "model" it for you so as fellow briskodians can see what it look like in situ
