Great collection there:thumbup:

Wouldn't mind having a go there myself. We are often in Somerset so not to far away.

I'd highly recommend it - but be warned - it is really warm inside and your lens will take some time to acclimatise.

You've also got a steam train next door, and Buckfast Abbey only about 1.5 miles away - that looks fantatsic if you get a deep blue sky behind it.

Thanks for the comments.

No - honest, I'm not trying to confuse - it's just that I keep upgrading and don't want to give the others away for peanuts on ebay.

My collection at the moment is :-

Sony P200 7.2mp 3x optical which is now being consigned to the car for general shots when I'm out and about

Canon S3iS 6mp 12x optical with a twist and tilt screen

Panasonic FZ8 7mp 12x optical

Panasonic FZ28 10mp 18x optical

All in there own way are excellent cameras.

I would be tempted to sell the Canon or FZ8 if I could get a good price, but there is so much on the market these days I'll probably end up keeping them.

Nuff said !

I'm determined not to get an SLR, and something pretty awesome will have to come out to better the Z28 - thank goodness

Wot.... like this Fuji Finepix S100fs Specification

Or ANY SLR:eek: :):):)

You seem to be taking some good shots here, but why not consider an SLR

At least with the shots above you would have thrown the backgrounds out of focus. Not your fault, just the limitations of such a small sensor!!!

Thanks for your comments - I'm pretty pleased with the clarity and colours.

I like to take good shots, but am really just a keen amateur, and can't justify the expense of a good SLR set-up.

I also like the convenience of the size of the Z28, without having to change lenses. To get the zoom range of the Z28 in an SLR lens would cost a small fortune.

I know I'll never win any competitions (mainly because I don't enter them) without upgrading to an SLR, but at the moment my priorities are convenience and cost.

You've probably noticed that on a lot of posts on here asking for advice on SLR's I've chipped in with comments on the qualities of the Z28. I'm happy to say that quite a few of those posters have bought the Z28, and I think the majority so far seem to be passing favourable comments.

You do realise you'll have the DustSwapLensRaver's jackboots down on you with comments like that :D

Thanks for the warning, but I'm prepared to take that risk.

If you never hear from me again - you know what's happened
