right, the Autocar test results (read on)

Featured Replies

I know all the history blah blah, but,I reckon their time is correct, without sneaky remaps

why? because its getting boring racing and keeping up with TT225s,Cupras,and paryticularly 325 BMWs,who get wasted every time

The vRS IS a quick car, relativelly speaking, and from the lights it can toast a 325,so a sub 7 sec 60 dash is entirely believable

thus endeth the rant

Who got out of bed on the wrong side today then ? :D

Which 325 are we talking about here?

Eculo

Is that the Autocar that also tested it to 60 in 7.8 seconds when they matched the shared-platform cars together ? (Skoda, A3, Golf, Seat) ?

Rob ;)

ah,but it was damp then

325 Beamer, they try every day,but have never worried me

life is short

I know a 325 is a BMW, but which particular model

Sorry not sure what you mean by that. Is that when boot I it harder in the 4x4? ;)

you can boot it all you like, but the 4x4 will still be slower:)

any 325,they all try and all get pasted

they are like magnets for anyone who is having a bad day,

Just thinking about this. You know how BIG 'most' 3 series egos are ? What we Octavia drivers should do is hunt in pairs. Being burnt off once, the BMW is obviously not trying/ looking the other way etc etc. Twice is embarrassment with nowhere to hide.

only beemer i have trouble with is a 330 and above.

Been there, done that, first big meet down Manchester way, BWM driver + 7 vRS's, not a happy loon (as we say up North)

The Autocar test Octavia is running 197 bhp and is well fast.

Or more likely that you have a vastly over-inflated view of the abilities of both yourself and your car. :)

 Are any times available for that bestickered red 2-seater or is the owner too modest to post them?

Also do a search for 0-60 times posted by a departed...but not forgotten..slowblackSkoda....under 6secs IIRC.

Yeah, but strangely independant and never verified by a witness.... ;)

was timed at 6 dead on a damp road... the timer is not on the board to confirm..

has been known to managed much less than this on warm slicks and a dry track....

the numbers dont really matter its the scalps... GT3 /355 /Caterfields / Cosworths / Scoobs / Evos / Supras to name but a few....

might just turn up the boost and warm the tyres for a final run or 2 to find out once and for all.....
