Valve Clearances for 1.3MPI

Featured Replies

Hey, am new here, I have hunted all over this forum but am struggling to find anything on what I need.

Can somebody please tell me the valve clearances for a 1.3MPI engine for my 2000 felicia.

THANKYOU :)

0.2mm, I think, cold.

0.2mm, I think, cold.

yes, you are right, Vivid Workshop, Autodata CD3, Haynes manual, and my trying everything under the sun agree.

0.20mm (8 thou)set cold, if you have aluminium alloy pushrods those you set to 0.25mm (10 thou) if the car feel like it vibrates, thrash the car for a couple of tanks and it will come alive, keep it on the green (2000 - 3200rpm) and best of luck with your Felicia

Just take 0,25 mm for the intake, 0,20 mm for the outtake... The mpi has alloy pushrods.

The valves are in this order:

OUT IN IN OUT OUT IN IN OUT

Yes, SPI too, but only at the intake valves. Exhaust pushrods are steel.

So for an MPI we have 0.25mm IN and 0,20mm EXH?

Exactly. Larger clearance at inlet is due to alloy pushrods, which expand more.

Yes I take valves are operated by alloy pushrods with steel inserts
