Just finished fitting my leather seats, what do you think?

Mk 4 Golf seats, look very similar to vRS seats but with airbags.

What was the damage to the wallet?

£340 for front and rear seats.

Just need to get some leather door cards that'll fit now.

I'm not jealous at all! I'm really not! no really! - how easy a job was it? and how much more comfortable and supportive are they compared to the elegance ones?

Very simple job. Basically you need to remove two pieces of black trim from the seat rail on the floor, undo two nuts at the front of the seat, carefully slide the seat back until it just comes out the back end of the rails enough to tip the front of the seat up to unclip the yellow airbag plug (and the seat belt chime plug on the drivers seat), lift seat out of car. Fit the new seats in the reverse order.

The leather ones I got are loads more comfortable and supportive than the standard Elegance ones, although they are not as supportive as the cloth Recaros I took out. But leather is so much nicer I think.

very nice. Do you find that the GTI sport seats base is much lower than the recaros? I've just gone the other way, gone from GTI sport seats to recaros, it's a tough decision as to which are the comfiest and nicest.

mmm very interesting. The Sports seats I had were from a 5door but the recaros are from a 3door, wonder if the difference in height is todo with the mech to tip the seats forward.
