Do you Think This Worth It . . .

Featured Replies

I have been looking for a cheap car for the wife & a guy who works with me is selling a W-reg (2000) VW Bora 1.9tdi S (90bhp) 94k miles on it , he is the second owner from new , full VW dealer service history .

Told me i can have it for £1500 . . . tax / mot up til july 2009 & recently had the belt / rear suspension done (with reciepts from vw dealership)

Had a good look all around the car and it is mint condition , non smoker / no kids , inside / out is spotless

Is this a bargain ? had a look on e-bay and same car is over £2k

Sounds good to me.

I once owned a VW Vento 1.9tdi 90bhp and it was great.

Ugly as sin, whereas the Bora IMO looks quite good, not just a Golf with a boot.

Averaged 53mpg plus no matter how it was driven.

£1500 sounds like a bargain - and he's a lot less likely to risk mugging a guy he works with than he might selling it privately - you don't **** on your own doorstep, so to speak !

And, BTW, I'm not just saying that because you said you didn't like my facia :)
