Hi all.

Just noticed a switch inside the compartment under the lights dial/control to the right of the steering wheel. Like a sliding in/out switch (in for off, pulled out for on)

Handbook is at home, but I'm not.

Anyone got a clue what it is?

It's a chiller for the compartment. It uses the aircon.

it tells you what it is for in the owners handbook , i suggest you read it , then you mightn some other snippets of info about your Fabia

as has been said above , when it is open , it allows cooling air from the heater/aircon to enter the little cubby hole and cool the can of whatever your favourite beverage is

why don't you carry the handbook in the car , there is a special lift up floor in the glovebox to store it in , but i suppose as you haven't read the handbook you wont know this
