Can some peeps do a search on mytyres for this tyre size and look at the various brands around

Was going to say Eco-Contacts! I have Eco-contacts 3 on the front when I had to replace due to a puncture at 18K and just eco-contacts on the back. Not bad tyres. Got mine for

I'm currently running some el-cheapo Ceat jobbies on mine that came with the car. Seem to be wearing very well after 10k and not had any scary experiences with them, even when being a hooligan :) Think I found them for about 40 quid a corner, but that did include fitting. If you want exact name, etc, I'll go and take a photo for yer ;)

Bridgestone Potenza RE720

If you can still get them go for uniroyals 540 or better still get some octy steels and go down that route

Thanks for info.

Rather than grip, performance, etc I'm more interested in the long wearing, but also economy, so something like an eco-contact may be give better mpg than a bridgestone. I shan't be driving in the same style with 14" wheels on so grip, etc is a second concern after economy ;)

Eco-contacts are starting to win me over. :D
