Happy Easter to all.

I'm the owner of an Octavia Elegance 1.9 TDI , I have a problem with the umbrella tray behind the rear seat.:thumbdwn:

This part is inserted in the side rails , during car running fall down , making a very high noise.

Inside the tray I have only an little umbrella (less of 3 Kg. that say the user manual).

I'm doing a wrong thing ? Any suggestions ?

Is the sliding cover fitted behind it? The cover locks in and secures it in postion. Without the sliding cover fitted I think the umbrella tray could fall out.

I have one in my L&K estate and I've always had the sliding cover fitted and its never been loose or fallen out.

I'll go out and double check mine a bit later on.

Nothing to do with your problem, but I only found out I had this tray yesterday. Just need to buy a brolly now.

My 55 plate 2.0tdi Elegance has this tray, so yours should as well.

I keep my baseball bat in there.

It should be between the front of the tonneau cover and the back seat. Mine has a little cover that lifts up and his held down by a magnet.

I have always the boot cover in place , today I try to remove the cover , reinsert the umbrella tray checking where I can do something wrong.

Wouldn't think so, the mountings are different on the hatch (I've had both)
