I've got a Thomson one off Ebay and works fine - I'm using it for a bird box camera so it's transmitting from the back of a detached garage up the garden through two or three solid walls to the Telly in the Lounge and works well. It has four channels to choose from so I can get an interference free piccie!

Does that one have a remote for switching channels?

It has a magic eye at both ends so you take your sky remote to the kitchen with you and it sends it back to your box

Thanks for the offer Bigw .....spoke to my neighbour in passing and he works next to a satalite installation crowd and he says they do them in there and he can get me one for next to nowt today.

It might just be cheap crap but we'll see....

These can be hit and miss depending on what else is using the same frequency spectrum in your neighbourhood - DECT phones, wireless access points/routers and baby monitors etc. can cause interference on the 2.4ghz band. If you have trouble with the one you've ordered you could try one in the 5ghz band but they tend to be much more expensive.
