Excuse the not so good pics, will get some better ones soon!

Usual Vrs spec with a map so it is quite nippy :)

Best colour fella. The silver ones are quicker than the black or red ones. FACT.

Ha, good stuff... i wonder why that is!?

Anyway. slight hesitation on the acceleration, running standard filter and bosch dv, will replace with piper x panel and a forge 007p to hopefully make a difference.

Clean the throttle body. Had same problem, cured it.

will do, :)

Could not agree more....:P

Agree with the hesitation fix.

Start with throttle body clean. Then check plugs and coil connections before shelling out. I used some RS electrical contact grease/sealant on the coil plug connetors which did improve the running also, as it gets hot on the coils. Forge DV should be a good buy for the mapped motor to..

Very nice! I also heard that silver ones are better......

Throttle body clean is also a very good idea. Mine gets cleaned roughly every 6 months, to keep her running smooth.

Give all the vacuum and breather hoses a good looking over, as they quite often perish. Cheap and easy to replace, so don't worry if you find the one off the rocker cover with a big hole in it!

Sweet van! Yours too? Love the roof rack.

Nice tidy looking car, nice colour.

What is the shampoo you used?, I handwash using turtle wax shampoo never get that amount of foam.

Cheers

Peter

Silver octys FTW

Nice foaming going on there !!!

You stole my car!

I like the silver ones :D

Throttle body cleaned, was quite dirty so will see if it makes a difference next time im out and about..

That foam is just ph neutral snowfoam, quick coat and rinse off just to loose some of the dirt!

Just been out for a blast (couldnt resist) Appears the cleaning of tb has made a difference!

Ordered my 007p today also so will get that fitted next week when it arrives.

Eeeeeeeeeeexellent!

Eeeeeeeeeeexellent!

Heres hoping anyway!

Meant to say the van is not mine, it is my mum and dads next door neighbour, i was just there abusing the external tap and power washing facilities!

Zero, can I be a nosey begger and ask about your splitter?

I've been toying with the idea of an LCR one but that looks a little smaller (read as less likely to get up close and personal with a speed bump :P )

Very much so mate, cant fault it at all.

I was on polo forum yes!

bit off but all this about the TB????????

mine is clean and never had to clean it lol, she is 4 year old nearly now. is there a reason for this?

billy

Nice car mate, I do like the silver. was gonna get one myself but changed for the black as it all matches lol. dont think the silver are faster though lol, think the yellow ones are myself.

Mine was dirty, cleaned it and got rid of some hesitation. Thats the story and im sticking to it... But my car is also 8 years old so double the age of yours.

If yours isnt dirty whats the problem?!

maybe your just lucky with the TB matey... a lot of people have troubles with them, its one of the known about not so good points with the car

and as for the silver is faster debate... i know of a certain Blk magic octavia vrs that ended its life at 602bhp ;)

to the OP: nice motor mate, am sure you will modify more and more as you'll get use to the extra power from the remap eventually

More than likely, can never leave anything alone! Got my diverter valve today so will fit that. Once im paid ill order up a panel filter then see what happens next...

lol thats it mate, ur in trouble now.

you got the bug. and its dangerouse mate, I blame Briskoda for it, can i sew lol?

well people sewed McDonalds for makin them fat.

guess I am lucky with the tb, mind not checked it for a while. think it is good coz I dont do small gernies in her, she is always goin up n down the country on weekends or not gettin used at all. 0A car is for that lol.

600bhp?????????? wow thats a lot. take it from ended its life that she is dead now?
