Just slapped a Kestrel DAS6 on my credit card along with a bundle of "f**k knows"....

So, who can tell me what to do with all the following

DAS-6 Dual Action Polisher - Sonus and Menzerna kit

and any advice for bits missed? (for example that blue tape to cover up plastics?)

Now ya dunnit  Better start reading up on Detailing World. Definitely get some Scotch Blue masking tape, and practice on something you really don't care about too much.

Always start a detail using the least aggressive pad and polish combo, and if correction not good enough, go to the next pad and polish combo that is more aggressive.

Be very careful near panel edges, and a paint depth gauge is a must, if doing major correction work. :D

if all else fails you could always use it as a door stop:D

Might be able to tell you after tomorrow......going to see baker21 and hopefully find out how he makes cars look so good ........I think starting this detailing is another long slippery slope a bit like modding

Looking forward to seeing you Octygone.........

Jase - I can always offer some advice next Saturday mate at Castle Combe............

Not just any old slippery slope either ;) A shiny, waxed, polished kinda slippery slope

hows the back of the car looking these days jase? i always remember it being black!! does the wax and that make cleaning the back of your car easier?

You are the guy who said you didn't give 2 shining poos about how your paintworked looked... less than a month ago... aren't you? :D

i think he was. maybe jason has realised if the car is clean and well waxed that its more aerodynamic ;)

My girlfriend would kill me if I spent any more money at all on car cleaning equipment.

Why clean the car when it just gets dirty again? ANd why do you spend so much time doing your wheels?

:D

to be fair even through you can easily spend £150 in halfrauds on buckets, mitts and autoglym stuff throughout the year i will probably by 2 Ag shampoo and 2 AG aqua wax. I think the only other products ive replaced was AG gloss, resin and a few wash mitts and as each bottle runs out or get low i usually wait till halfrauds do the three for 2 and stocking back up again is then pretty cheap... thinking about it i did buy three huge bottles of AG shampoo on the last 3 for 2 and i know that will easily last over a year.

Now I have a side exit exhaust, a sooty ar5e is no longer an issue. Only regular road grime ends up on there. :)

Advice on saturday would be good Mr Baker :D I will bring it all with me probably so you can literally show me with the items to hand.

It feels like I am more or less at the bottom of the modding slope, so needed a fresh hill to slide down. :o

Oi Jason read your emails :D
