Im soon going to be purchasing some weitec coilovers for my vRS, just curious how it will sit on them, dont want to slam it to the floor but do like to be sitting nicely (have seen they sit low on ap's but want the weitecs), hasd anyone got any photos of there fab on the weitecs then?

I'll be keeping my standard 16's on for a while to keep the stealthy look so will probably have to wind mine all the way down to get the tyres inline with the arches.

They dont go very low on the rears, I saw Phils car at the weekend, looks nice but not really low enough on the rear in my opinion

Could you post up some pics and a bit of a review when you've had them on a while , I'm going for these I think, particularly interested in ride comfort.

I fitted my Weitec's a couple of weeks ago. The backs are as low as they'll go with the adjusters in place. The fronts are just over halfway down I think, so I've got a little bit of rake going on. Ride comfort is good IMO, definitely a lot stiffer than standard and you do bob about a bit on uneven surfaces but it's not crashy in the slightest. Really impressed with how well they soak up harsh surfaces!

Here's how it looks.

They do not go low enougth at the back and I also think because of this the handaling of them with the 17's i have is not the best. I am thinking of changing either the alloys or coilovers.

I think the Vmaxx are the best for the money and how low they go.

Yes but have you tried driving with no adjusters.... it is quite frankly pants... you jack the car up the springs fall out... it bounces all over the road and its not like a 10-20mm drop more like 30mm so you will either have to run reverse rake which is pants or run the front sooo low to the ground you'll hit cats eyes

I could try removing them in two stages. Just take out the adjuster part and leave the lower part. The shocks seem to hold everything in quite firmly so maybe it's different between the VMaxx and Weitecs. I don't think I'd really want to go that much lower though really as I quite like my sump!

The AP's seem to sit somewhere between the Weitecs and the Vmaxx with the adjusters in all the way down at the back, definitely lower than the Weitecs though.

Weitec website says that they lower the car between 35mm-65mm compared to the AP's which according to the Venom Motorsport website says they lower by 25mm-75mm, so looks like you get another 10mm out of the APs.

i really want the weitecs, have heard good things about them but dont want to be dissapointed when its as low as it will go and i want to go lower!
