Scary non-existent brakes-Fabia Combi

Featured Replies

A couple of weeks ago my wife reported loss of brakes at a junction (she was lucky no one else was on the road). Subsequent vist to the dealer found no fault but the master cylinder was changed and the system bled and checked. Last night I experienced the same thing. We would be grateful for any thoughts: I can't even sell it like this.

What engine do you have?

Did the pedal just go very hard?

My pedal did this "go very hard" thing and it was a leaking vacuum hose in the braking system.

Welcome :)

Without sounding patronising are you sure it wasnt just the abs kicking in?

Usually women mistake this for brake failure.

Welcome.

Your brake problem could be servo/ vacuum hose related.
