New springs but its Bouncy, Bouncy!

If eibachs are the best thing since slice bread then why dont anyone on here or other forums with VRS's have them!!!

I not sure I have even seen them advertised specifically for the VRS which was the issue for the springs.

Maybe nobody has tried them yet, there is a first time for everything just like the Weitec coilovers which also are not specified for the Vrs looking at their application list.

I read a 14 page thread on vwvortex on the Eibach shocks and Eibach springs. They concluded that they were better than standard and an ideal daily drive but maybe not quite good enough for track days.

Still thinking :rubchin:

I had 3 imprezas before the VRS and still prefer the VRS. not 100% sure why though?

I just wish the octi could get the exhaust note of the impreza, love the sound they make with an aftermarket exhaust :D

the turbo ones do sound mint, there was a N/A one at hayward and scott when i was there the other week and it sounded a bit pump:thumbdwn:

Hi

yes H&R have put the prices up ALOT!!!!!

£206 + VAT the retail now , and before it was £140.00 + VAT

A very very large difference

But hey.....

As for them and FSD`s , yes they will work

FSD`s work with a lowering of approx 30mm

So no worries there

You will find that springs are more specific than shockers , so Eibach`s may list

But can`t say that I have ever been asked that question???

But as has been said , there has been much confusion in regards what suit the vRS as there are very little that are specific

Hi

In some counties , they do a pack

This contains the Koni FSD`s and the Eibach springs together

As they work so well together...

So yes should be OK

I was told by Dan @ Dcdezign that the koni sport shocks are out of stock until the 3rd week in May which put me off a little, but he highly recommended them!

Have you got the link to the German H&R springs, a lot of them are advertised wrongly from germany. The correct ones for the Vrs lower by 20mm

I'll let you off then :P

well after being fobbed off time after time by c+r enterprises about my vogtland springs,i cancelled my order and asked for a refund.have now ordered h+r springs from a german company on ebay.item number is 180081666971,martzinuk they are listed correctly and correct part number, roughly £167 delivered, was getting prices of £230 from suppliers in uk,so hopefully they will go well with the koni sport shocks,i have had for 2 weeks, got a good price on them from larkspeed £365,was going to go for fsd,s but fancied being able to adjust the shocks manually.

Jammy sod i hate you! :rotz:

If i had more time i would have found these but a broken spring meant i needed them urgently, I hate not finding the cheapest price

The sports should be top notch, they were recommended to me as the best by my suspension supplier with the Eibach second. I listened to this forum so hopefully it will pay off, i hope to fit this weekend weather permitting.

I gotta say i love the cornering of the H&R springs, if you throw it into a round about there is very little body role, it makes you feel so much more confident. Normal road driving with these springs and OE shocks is not recommended, they are terrible!

hi martin,i have a guy on ukmkivs to thank for the link to the springs,he got a set for his new scirroco, they are actually cheaper than a set for an octy vrs.will wait and see how long they take to arrive, they have them in stock so hopefully not too long.

Third vote! i have them too,

Fourth vote.

Martin, also point to note is unless VW forums are fitting the Eibachs to the VRS's then the info they report about there cars and handling is not worth anything when the suspension is for the VRS. As I and Berreta found out the hard way with the Eibach springs that were suposed to be for the Golf, The 2 cars are what works best for each one is no match. You were best to go for advise from the Brisodian's as you have done my friend.:D

Martin if you knew you were going to buy the Koni FSD's why the hell didn't you go with the correct springs to match the bloody gold FSD shocks.

Your such a tight **** not getting these and going for the cheap option.

H&R / 24-Carat Gold Plated Springs / Skoda Octavia RS Saloon + Estate, 2002- (177BHP) Type: 1U, Only RS 1,8l T 2WD, KW / Euro Performance Car Parts

OMG i saw them but never looked at the price:eek:

I bet they don't sell many Lol.

Mark i emailed Eibach about Whether the Pro damper would be suitable for the Vrs, i finally got a reply today.

"Hello Martin

The Pro-Dampers we offer will fit on the VRS however they may raise the front of the car. The part number for these are 1540-840."

The reply doesn't fill you with confidence does it lol.

I received the Fsd's today :D. Quick question, I notice the piston comes back up on them when pressed down. My OE shocks with 115k on them stayed in the same place when i pushed them down and i had to pull them up by hand!

Are my old shocks knackered or is this normal?

P.s i told you i knew nothing about suspension

hi martin i can safely say your old shocks are knackered.they have lost there rebound.
