Thanks again, The result is very satisfying & without a lot of the niggles others had with their cars + no tickets, Skoda stealth obviously is an advantage

stuart

How about a Briskoda entry for 2005 ? :rubchin:

me and my brother have become fairly big fans of the whole gumball/cannonball thing and have a few of the dvd's.

theres one we have from 2003 i think and there is quite a lot of Staurts Skoda on it, cant remember the exact name of the dvd but it centres around a yellow M3, a nitrous'd range rover and a very quick supra.

there was a bit in it where stu's octy had been following the range rover for the best part of the night before going past, and a modded merc slk that totalled the car on the exit of an island or something.

we've already said that if a lotto win comes in we'll be buying a big quick merc or something and doing it.

Therea a new dvd out in about 4 weeks of this years cannonball, will be available through www.cannonballruneurope.co.uk

The Merc that totalled straight lined the roundabout in the wet & ended up in a concrete storm drain & yes it was totalled

The Winter cannonball is runing this week, they are already making the news

http://forums.c7performance.com/viewtopic.php?t=10085 (Only 175 kph they cant be trying, we had people doing 200mph this summer)

You dont need a supercar, the best thing to take is a chipped Diesel with a big tank, The Dutch equivalent of the cannonball was won by a Chipped Superb with a massive tank, about 800-1000 mile range I think

This Summer may well be the last Southern European Rallys as the Authorities are really starting to clamp down, looks like Eastern Europe after that, theres also a South African event being rumoured

Enjoyed reading all of this.congratulations. would love to have a lambo(gallardo was it?) in my rear view mirror :auto: :bike:

This lad (the one who apparently read up on it) isnt the best at explaining things without them getting alittle exaggrated (sp?) so this wouldnt surprise me at all.

thanks for clearing it up Stu.

Watched this last night on men and motors.Think it was the same one as the Range Rover driver mentioned the Skoda 'coming up behind them'.

Looked good fun.It mentioned most of the entrants were dot com millionaires. Is this true then??????? :D

Porsche GT2 driver was slightly not all there with the driving  mad!

That was 2 years ago, The Guy in the Rangey was my mate who had the Lambo this year, we also have some footage of us passing Jaffa cakes between the cars at about 100 mph which didnt make it into the DVD. The DVD for the last Cannonball is being premiered this Friday night so should be in the shops in a couple of Months.

Rob Kenworthy who drove the GT2 was shall we say somewhat quick although he does take risks that many normal mortals wouldnt, I am amased that his co driver isnt at all worried by his antics. He finished the event with a speed of +70, thats 70 mph over the average set for the event which was 70. Yep averaged 140 mph for 3000 miles   The car is a "breathed on" GT2 & was pulling speeds somewhat above 200 on the Motorways & he also uses the hard shoulder at times. If you see Gunball 3000 hes also in that

200 plus  140 average  wouldn't go in that passenger seat ;)

Look forward to seein the DVD and hopefully clips of the skoda. That Lambo makes orange cars look stunning  (never thought I would say that unless I was into max powering)
