Hi, that sounds a bit pricey to me. I got mine through a company called click4gap.co.uk. which was recomended by mony saving expert site. I paid about £180 for 4 years cover return to invoice. They seem a fairly good company and have always responded quickly to any emails etc.

I got it for £80, 2 years RTI from GAP Insurance - Car Replacement Gap Insurance, Commercial Gap Insurance and Early Termination Insurances

Theyre highly recommended on Honest John and Autotrader.

My insurance company covered me for the first (possibly even second) year of ownership so I didn't bother, even if they didn't I probably would of taken the gamble.

i must admit i never took it out on mine, mainly because it wasnt offered to me by skoda. Next car i will make sure i do, especially if its as cheap as some of the mentions above as you lose a couple of grand the moment you roll off the forecourt.

£300+ sounds about right for the dealer option. As always it pays to shop around for it and not take the first dealer option without a bit of research first.

As for its value - £300 for 'return to invoice' cover gives great piece of mind when you are using finance to purchase your car and is worth the cost in my opinion.

Definitely not good value when you can get the same for £80 from 3rd party companies, mine covers upto £7500 shortfall in payment over 2 years against the invoice price.

Glad to have helped, they are cheap and seem well recommended, cant comment on their service as i have never had to use them, and hopefully never will.
