how is the cargo net installed?

Featured Replies

My new octavia came with a cargo net in the spare wheel well, ive tried to install it but it does not look right and seems a bit useless, has anyone got a photo of what it should look like?

You need too drop you're seat and attach it too the bit that your seat locks into, then you have two brackets just in front of your rear panel, the black ccatches lock oover these, if that makes sense.

Let me know if your stuck and I'll take some pics.

Edit ....It's dedicated lug behind the seat like this one 28042009060.jpg

First thing to do is unravel the net and layout flat. Then follow the process above for attaching.

To be honest I can't remember what mine looks like with the boot empty lol. In fact I think it has always had something under it :confused::confused:

I have a sub and some other crap under mine at the moment.

Hang on you got it wrong lol

The plastic locks attach too the corner loops like in the higher one in my photo. The lower is my other thing (??)which hang behind the seats.

Mines attached like that but not so stretched, like my netting is bigger.

Mine has metal clips on the end, maybe its not a standard skoda one, it would be rather nice not to have the shopping unpack itself when coming back from tesco

Mine is similar to this .... full coverage of the boot floor with the net.

This one has metal clips and was in skoda packaging under boot floor.

Mine also has metal clips, it didn't come with my car though. I was bought it at Christmas so it could be for a mk2/Superb so possibly bigger.

There are 2? different types of boot net this page shows them fitted

?koda Accessories

Mine is the first one in the list, The two piece one, but I have the other piece against the back seats.

My original one has metal clips and attaches to the spring loaded loops in the side of the car.

Interesting,

Mine looks about the same as the one shown for the estate, and with plastic ends, but the part number is

1UO 867 689B and called "Sit' horizontální podlahová"

I can see now why I have never been able to use it properly as the front hoops must be under the false flat floor. It does come also with two substantial chrome extenders which clip on the rear hoops with a quarter turn. Anyone else have these or fitted the net in an estate with a flat loading floor?

I have two nets, one for the sub and one for carrying goods :)

I know this thread is over a year old, but I've just had the same issue! You can't appear to be able to use the raised boot floor and the cargo net at the same time, if the boot floor is "open". With the floor flat you can stretch the net from the wheel arch hooks behind the back seat to the big chrome hooks that hold the sides of the raised boot floor down.

My car doesn't appear to have all the hooks as per the manual however. Looks like some along the plastic trim that runs under the window in the manual.

You can take the raised boot floor sides out but then you've got painted boot floor exposed.

Cheers

Don't forget that the raised floor can be folded in the middle and the end engaged with the slots on the raised floor side beams. This gives you a smaller boot area behind the seat with a "back rest" to hold your Tesco shopping in place, plus the original floor height at the rear so you can put your bottles under the raised floor. Great combination and easily put back to normal with one hand in 5 seconds. I don't have need for the cargo net.
