Picking my car up on Tuesday, had dealer mod chip to 225BHP but it seems that most re-maps dont give that much BHP? Anyone got an explanation.

Ps - the car i test drove was chipped and was like **** of a shovel, ****ed on a Golf Vr6 4 motion by the time i was doing 80mph there was 2 car lengths between us. Mmmmmmmmmmm cant wait.

Welcome to Briskoda. :wave: Whose chip, or remap, and what did the dealer have to say about warranty since Skoda/Skoda UK don't provide warranty cover for parts not approved by SkodaAuto? Before taking delivery of the car, get your dealer to confirm in writing that they will underwrite in full the new vehicle warranty provided by SkodaAuto and SkodaAuto UK. You can see a copy of that warranty here.

welcome and i second denis's comments and advice re. the remap.

all's fair and well till something goes wrong - believe me, Skoda UK DO NOT approve of aftermarket remapping and your dealer knows that. don't get me wrong, i'm all for dealer remapping as long as *everyone* (including the dealer) involved is aware of the issues/potential issues and what would happen in any given parts failure scenario.

TL:DR - hi! superb 280: wet skiddy without quality back tyres? Hello everybody, New to the forum and owning a skoda. I've got a 2019 superb sportline 280 hatch. Are they known to get a bit unsettled at the back end in the wet? With the job I do I've driven both manual and dsg Haldex skodas (octavias and kodiaq), quite hard, and never experienced this. Granted the work cars are all diesel with Michelin crossclimates. I've had the car 2-3 months now and there's a bit of stuff in the boot. K

Have any members carried out a cam belt replacement on a diesel mk3 Octavia VRS themselves? If so, how difficult would it be for a driveway DIY'er to do and what advice could you provide. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

HI Got a new 2025 Karoq Sportline and I'm really disappointed with the speakers, sounds terrible. Had an Octavia from 2014 and that sounded better and that was not good. So my question, if I change the speakers I will need to take off the door covers and all buttons and lights, do I need to disconnect the battery and can I disconnect the battery without a lot flashing lights when connecting it back. Do I need an OBDII to turn off flashing lights or is there a manual way to do so ? Thanks.

Hi, Partner acquired this 2023 1.0 Fabia last year. So far, the resistor pack for the fan has packed (!) up and the actuator for the fuel flap needed replacing. These were done under warranty. She's had the car back from its MOT and warranty work and now there's a light on the dash saying "check brake lights." The light on the nearside is out and there's only one reversing light, on the offside. Are the rear lights all LED? No bulb I can change? If it is a bulb, how do I get to it? Are th

Hi all. I have a Skoda Octavia 2010, the facelift model. I have gotten my hands on two front seats from a Skoda Superb 3T: driver's seat electric, passenger seat not electric. My car is a left-hand drive vehicle. The wire loom beneath both seats has the connector decapitated. That means that the cables, the wire loom, just has all the cables sticking out. Could anyone advise where the different cables should be connected? I'm aware that going from both manually seat's to now electric wit
