Faulty reverse warning thingee

Featured Replies

Took my Fabia 3 1.9 to my local stealer's as my reversing warning thingee is intermittently showing full impact as soon as I engage reverse waited around for it to be sorted told it was ok and it is just the same, got to go in for a day now ,Any you guys know if this is a common fault , and should it be easy to fix ? cheers :thumbdwn:

There is a recall ( 91E5 ) that includes lots of both roomsters and MK2 Fabias which is supposed to correct parameters in the PDC control unit. Your car might be affected. I have had the software update/ recall, and the system in my car works like it used to before the update.

I have changed 3 out of the four sensors because of faults, so i just might change the last one and hope for the consistency of the system in an Octavia :-)

I had my car in for this recall, although the system seems to have been working fine all the time so far.

Very common fault according to manager at my local dealer, i had a similar problem. Had the software update, didnt fix it. Had one the sensor replaced and all is well now.
