Hi,

Looking real good. I like cars that don't 'shout' their potential, if you know what I mean.

Excuse my ignorance but what is the point of changing the indicator and side-light bulbs (do they look different?).

Also, what you have done sounds extensive (and expensive!) - how does the car feel now to when it was stock and how has it affected your insurance / MPG (asked by a chap with wife and 2 kids to feed!)?

Cheers

Rob

Hi Rob

Changed the indicator bulbs to silver coloured ones so you don't get the fried egg look.

Sidelights are supposed to look white like HID bulbs but they don't. They came free with the HID kit so i just used them. I am going to change them for white LED's with resistors to get the look i want

What has been done is fairly extensive and yes was quite expensive :D and I'm still going :D

The car now is totally transformed from stock. It's near perfect now for me (will see how stage 2+ feels before deciding if going to KO4) and i think once i get the diff in will be completely sorted. I love the fact people think it's just a "normal" Skoda vRS. They always end up looking like this  when i demonstrate the potential :D

Insurance hasn't really been affected due to the fact I'm with a specialist company who deal with modified cars. Im 31 full NCB and paying just over £430 a year fully comp with all mods declared.

MPG has got better. I can get 600 miles from a tank of fuel with normal driving. This could be due to a number of reasons but i think the most likely is the fact i have over 300lb/ft of torque from quite low down so don't really need to gear down etc to overtake. 50-70mph in 6th only takes 5 secs now compared with nearly 8 secs when stock. On a motorway run i get circa 42mpg sticking between 70-80mph and round town i get circa 30mpg

A Small Upgrade:confused:

KO4 Turbo Circa £1200 (im not getting a 2nd Hand one no chance)

S3 Injectors Circa £400 for the set

Software £199 iirc

Thats £1800 before labour goes on Top. So im looking around £2.3k ish

EDIT: Just looked on JKM it would be £2450 + VAT :( me thinks i will waiting a while.

It's not happening yet. (but if i can wangle it maybe before Xmas.................. 2011 :D:D:D:D)

I think a Diff will be the next Upgrade. Might be able to wangle the £1200 for that
