Maxi-Dot Speedo....Can I Change it?

Featured Replies

hmm thats annoying, got premium bluetooth, if its simply a case of spaces could it be reprogammed to use the channel for the MDF3 navigation instead as i dont have that?

Ive just got a new facelifted Octavia and as far as I can see (hunted through every menu I can find) its not possible to alter it to MPH.

My understanding is that EU rules say that all cars sold in the EU must have a means of showing both MPH and KPH.

As its no longer on the speedo dial (why not I cant imagine) this is the way of doing it.

As I drive a lot in France I actually quit like it. Its a lot easier to see than trying to read the small print on the speedo.

On my new facelift UK spec Elegance, the Maxidot's 'Set Up' main menu reads as follows:-

MFD Data

Convenience

Lights & Vision

Time

Winter tyres

Language

Units

Assistant

Service interval

Factory setting

Back

In the Owner's manual it also lists headings for 'Alternative Speed Displayed' and 'Automatic Lights'. It's strange that these are missing, especially since auto lights are standard fit on Elegance trim.

The 'Alternative Speed' is obviously the one to change between mph & km/h.

Wonder why those two menus are missing - very weird ????

Hi Dan

I dont know. You could ask Kufatec, but I dont think it will be easily reprogrammed.
