anybody had an in phase headset

Featured Replies

lol, after replying to your post about car audio centre....

I had an inphase hu, the sound quality was actually pretty good and it had a 60W RMS driven out. I changed it after a few months though; 2 reasons:

- It didn't sit flush with the dash, the surround stuck out maybe 1cm due to the depth of the fascia

- It didn't have adjustable preout levels, which I wanted for my sub

Also, the motorised fascia wasn't sounding as slick as it had when new...

So it was perfectly OK, but I do wish I'd paid a bit more and got something else. Now got a pioneer HU, no probs (apart from crap power on driven outs, no probs - 1 speaker amp now in!).

Hope that helps

Rob

PS sound quality from speaker outs was probs better on the inphase HU.

cheers, i cant say im going for the greatest quality as its only going in an old rover of mine, since cassettes are obsolete and radio is pants i was just after something to play cds etc, would probably get some new speakers aswell as it goes, and get my old sub and amp in.... tut tut all this in a car i said i wasnt going to spend a penny on

I'd doubt that it means 60w RMS being driven by the H/U. More like max power and it's pushing 15-20 RMS (if you're lucky). My Genesis Stereo 100 amp is only rated as 2 x 50w RMS at 4ohms (test sheet show's it pushing a bit more though) and it uses 4 gauge power cables!
