micro-fibre cloths or polishing cloth?

Featured Replies

I have just polished my vRS using the Auto-Glym Ultra Deep Shine and a quality roll of polishing cloth.......

I found the whole polishing process considerably easier than using the micro-fibre cloths I've had for a while...

Anyone else find this or have preferences?

Micro-fibre cloths for me anyday :)

I use microfibres for drying the car, and polishing cloths to wipe any compound off after machine buffing.

If i was polishing by hand i would probably use cotton stockinette or what ever its called.

The Autoglym hi tech applicator pad or a megs applicator is great for applying this type of product and then use a mf for buffing off.

Applicator pads are ok for applying a wax imo, i personally wouldnt use it to try and remove defects.

You could apply Super Resin Polish, which helps mask defects.

A cotton, lint-free microfibre cloth for me too. I found Autoglym's own stockingette Perfect Polishing cloths to be horrible - took the polish/wax off but spread fluff fibres everywhere.
