Supaguard

Featured Replies

When my Fab VRS arrives on thursday I am going to get it treated at my local dealer (thank god westcroft has finally opened) with supagaurd inside out... Any comments on this product, is it worth it and is it good

cheers

I'm reluctant to get a coating applied to the car's paintwork, as I'd expect the lacquer applied at the factory, plus decent polish, to protect it.

As for the interior, I'm going for the 'scotch gard' route. I've nothing against Supaguard in principle, but it's too expensive. I've also noticed that certain dealers are now asking if your car was Supaguarded, before they give you a trade-in value.

If they can't tell, does it make any difference? Sounds like cynical marketing to get a few more quid out of us (and a nice bit of commission, judging by how many salesmen are pushing it).

For the money involved you could buy yourself some excellent polishing and cleaning products, and get a far superior finish. Swissol and Meguiars are 2 such products which come to mind, but doubtless there are others which will also do a very good job.

He also said it's for lazy people that don't enjoy cleaning their cars

Thats what appealed to me :)

thanks for your input :)

I'd recommended it, excellent stuff, have had quite a few of my cars done and it makes cleaning a breeze, but I dont pay full price, got a mate who does it for me for cash in hand.

 Same as Ross, mate does mine with Supagard...inside and out.

;) Don`t pay the dealer, buy the supagard sponge off of ebay and do it yourself, it`s brilliant stuff as long as you dont get it on the trims.Interior treatment is in a spray can so its easily applied:rolleyes:

Drop me a PM :)

Had mine done with Supagard before I picked it up and found removing dead flies was a lot easier. Not necessarily important as we head into autumn and winter but you'll notice it.

When you pick the car up run your hand over the paintwork - you'll notice the difference.

Me too, Diamondbrite Jewelultra from e-bay for a tenner, car looks amazing. Nothing like doing it yourself and seeing the rewards :)

I'm happy with the product, my dad has got it on his car and motor bike, also when it is applied to older cars it gets rid of all the light surface scratches making it look even better, you should be able to get it done anytime. I waiting till i get all the body mods done on my car before i put it on.

Cheers for your replies everyone, I have decided to go for it :)

Most of the cost is labour, so if you're happy with that then go for it

I would much rather spend

Considerably less than retail. ;)
