Had some spare time this evening so decided to clean the car: 2000 skoda fabia sdi diamond silver Vrs Rims and a few other subtle mods.

This is what i did:

Started out by pressure washing her and snow foaming + lambs wool mit to aggitate

Did this again to relieve all dirt, grease and road grime on the surface

Washed the wheels used custom wheel cleaner and pressure washer

megs waffle weave drying towel to dry

Autoglym super resin polish all over the car and buffed off to a nice finish.

Then waxed with turtle wax metallic. This was done by hand and applied quite thick for a good coverage.

I then buffered off with a microfibre buffering pad

Autoglym alloy wheel sealant and tyre dressing

Turtle wax black in a flash to all plastics

Autoglym glass polised

Used the dyson to all the inside

Autoglym interior shampoo and Autofreshed

Cleaned engine bay and topped up water resevior with halfords premium screen wash

All in all pretty happy, took me 3 hours and considering the paint is almost 10 years old i think she looks pretty good.

What can i do to improve on this when i do this again guys?

That does look good, so it must be spectacularly shiny in real life as silver cars don't 'bling' in photos the way black and dark coloured ones do.

Have you taken the side rubbing strips off? It looks pretty good, but I can't remember if that model had side strips?

He has the Kaercher snow-foam attachment. You can just see it in the picture - it's the 5" high yellow cannister with the black nozzle on top. You just fill it with a 1:5 mix of chemical and spray away.

It's actually quite good for a cheapy lance attachment.
