Gene Hunt fans will understand this!!

Now old Fords have never really been my thing but I went to a car show in Bridlington at the weekend and was surprised to stumble across the very Ford Cortina used in the filming of Life on Mars. I took a quick snap of it.

But it just wasn't enough. I had to be cheeky and ask the owner for a sit inside. I was delighted when he agreed. So it's official. I have sat behind the wheel of Gene Hunt's Cortina :D

Either would do me. Although "You've just been Quattro'd!" sounds so much better than "You've just been Cortina'd!"

Haven't they rocketed in price since the series though??

It was literally 5 minutes round the corner from Sewerby.

I too would also prefer the Quattro. But that wasn't there so I settled for the Cortina!

And yeah I've seen UR Quattros topping £20k. I've also seen one with rusted sills that was basically a shed in every other department selling for £3k!!

My wishlist in order of preference would be

Keeley Hawes

Quattro

Cortina

;)
