Cillit Tyres! BANG and the kitten is gone!!

Featured Replies

I shall be needing new rubber soon and will buying from blackcircles.com I've as used them the last twice and never had any issues from them (I did get left sitting around by the fitters but thats not blackcircles fault)

I had decided on Kuhmo Ecsta SPT KU31's as i had them on my previous Ibiza TDi Sport and they grip ok and lasted well for the £60 quid a corner i paid for them

However a quick look on the website and P-Zero Nero's are only £8 more per corner so am sorely tempted by them!

Balls out driving is a rarity so absolute grip isn't that important (alhtough i don;t wanna end up in hege at the first opportunity.

However a 60 mile daily commute for SWMBO means they've gotta last well, which is why Toyo's are out.

Experiences or opinons listened to and pictures of kittens shall be laughed at

I run Khumo 31's...........Excellent both wet & Dry

Ive got toyos on at the moment but a mate of mine has falken 452 on his golf Gti and they seem to be wearing well and he has no issues with cornering/grip

So my next tyres will be the Falkens

Got the Pirellis on, like them a lot, and I'm buying new ones for all 4 corners tomorrow

Local tyre place £331 fitted

Falken 452's seem to be the budget tyre of the moment.

Which moment was that? 2006 called and they would like their tyres back.

It's all about the 912's now.

There's budget and then there's cheap and then there's looked good for 5 minutes and they went off before the tyre shine dried.

452's are still the best Falken tyre.

I'm on the 912's, on my 2nd front pair since I got the TT's on in January!

Kittens play-fighting and leaping - made my afternoon that!

I've just had a set of P-Zero Nero's put on my standard VRS, and coming from a set of budget tyres that the last owner had on the car they are awesome. The traction light comes on a hell of a lot less, and they are a much quieter car. Got them locally in Rugby for £280 fitted for a set of 4 which I thought wasn't too bad.

I have Hankook V12's and they handle fine. Only had them 2 months so unsure what the wear is like but so far so good :)

Can't agree with that. Used both and the 912's have been better for me.

Well, I think we'll have agree to disagree then?:P

It would seem so ;)

8000 miles and they are just above the minimum! - there are lots of twisty roads around here and i've got a bit of a heavy foot!

what about these??

They are lovely kittens.

Back on-topic, i always thought the Conti SC2s mine came with were fine.

anyway - I don't understand the reference to kitties in the title??

I believe the phrase "every time someone asks 'what tyres should I buy' God kills a kitten" has been used.
