Hi everyone!

I'd just like to thank all the posters on the forums for supplying lots of useful info whilst I was researching the Fabia vRS over the last few weeks.

Hopefully in a month's time I'll be able to announce that I'm an owner - mine should be being built this week, collection end of October, beginning of November.

It's been ordered through Brown's at High Wycombe and can't fault them so far.

Have a good time here coz I have! Have to agree dont get black lol it just means I'll have to spend more money to make mine different!

I suppose I better apologise in advance - it is a black one on order...... (with Xenons and cruise).

I drove a red one and thought about the other colours but felt this was the way to go. My present mount is a black BRABUS-smart (stop laughing at the back) so I'm well aware of the dirt magnet abilities of black paint!

The smart has been great fun over the last three years and 58000 miles (mostly raced at the lights by threatened Imprezzas and 3 series Bee Emms - most bizarre) but it's time to return to the VAG fold (Beetle, two Polos, Mk1 GTi). Also went through a cheap motoring phase with a Daewoo Matiz which would drift nicely with the tools in the back when the roads were wet!

Reason for the Furby choice? Liked the modern Skoda quality and reputation, liked the Q car image of the Octavia vRS, wondered why the Furby vRS was a diesel, watched Fifth Gear, then watched Top Gear and realised why! It will be nice to go back to being able to overtake things even when going uphill and into wind....

Hopefully it'll arrive in time and I'll have an excuse to do some running in to Wales to watch the track day antics!
