Urgent advice needed

ive had my oct vrs on the computer at three garages now the first 2 garages brought up the same three faults 1drop in pressure of the turbo system

2 coolant system malfunctioun

3 electrical fault

the third garage is only bringing up one of theses codes wich is number 2 with an error code of p1296. im told the computer garage 3 use is the dogs ******** a 5051 but cant understand why it is not bringing the other two faults up like the previous garages.ive already had my water pump changed and im booked in monday to get a thermostat and sensor change wich is costing me another hundred quid.dont want to get 5 mile down the road again for this blasted light to come back on and more money wasted cheers

Maybe the 2nd garage reset the fault codes after they read them, and only one of the faults came back before the 3rd garage scanned it.

The first code sounds like it could be a 17705 fault code (do a search on here) which normally points to a leaking hose. This could be a small leak that is only causing a fault intermittently which is why it comes and goes. The 17705 is a b**ger to fix :thumbdwn:

Did they give a fault code for the electrical fault? If the 2nd garage did clear it then it might have just been the fault code the car throws up every time the battery is disconnected.

It sounds like they are on the ball with the second fault code though if they are changing the coolant temp sensor and theromstat.

I fixed my 17705 code with a new N75 valve.

Didn't any of the garages check for hose leaks?

i know that in the coolant reservoir the guage sticks to the prongs so it might be an idea to get a screwdriver and give the prongs a scrape coz my coolant light kept coming on until i did this. it is on the right hand side odf the reservoir and it just gets stuck sometimes.
